Software

Your sand test readings stay inside your plant.

VSync Local Server is Windows software that turns one PC on the plant’s own network into the VSync server. The V-Sync units on your sand testing machines send their readings to that PC rather than to the VSync cloud. It works without an internet connection.

01 Why there is a choice

Two plants, two answers.

Most foundries are served well by the VSync cloud. Readings can be seen from outside the plant, reports arrive by email, and nothing has to be looked after on site.

Two situations come up often enough to need a second answer. Some companies hold a policy that production data does not leave the plant. Other plants sit where the internet is weak, or where there is none at all.

Until now, those plants were served with a PC put together for the purpose. That arrangement is now being replaced by a product, installed and supported in the same way as the rest of what Versatile supplies.

02 What a plant keeps

Little to learn again.

The same VSync screens and reports are used either way, on the plant’s own network. A foundry that moves to its own server is not asked to work differently.

Existing V-Sync units are reused rather than replaced. Versatile updates them during installation and adds the machines. Units can also be moved between the VSync cloud and a local server later, although readings already recorded stay where they were recorded.

03 What to weigh

What a plant gives up.

Features that depend on an internet connection are not available at a plant without one. Emailed reports and the link to CaRe 101 are the main ones.

Version 0.3.0 was released in October 2026, and the first plant installations are under way.

04 How a plant gets it

Through Versatile, with an engineer on site.

An engineer installs it alongside the plant’s own people, updates the V-Sync units and adds the machines. It is licensed per machine, and a trial of 30 days is available.
